Athena (“Athena”, “we”, “us”) is a CAT & MBA-entrance preparation platform, founded and operated by Prachi Priya Jha.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights — in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the applicable IT Rules. By using Athena you agree to this policy.
For any privacy question or request, write to us at AthenaPrep.in@gmail.com.
Account data — your name and email (or the name/email from Google sign-in) provided at signup.
Usage & progress — questions attempted, answers chosen, mock and tracker results, planner, error log, bookmarks, notes, streaks and percentile inputs — so we can save your progress and show your analysis.
Payment data — when you subscribe to Pro or Elite, payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the subscription status and identifiers; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank credentials.
Content you upload — files/notes you add to the AI library (Ask Athena), used only to answer your own questions.
Technical data — a secure session cookie, and aggregate, privacy-friendly usage analytics (e.g. page views) to improve the product.
To run the service — authenticate you, save your progress, generate your analysis, planner and leaderboard standing, and process and enforce your Pro/Elite subscription and access.
To support you, keep the platform secure, prevent fraud, and meet legal or tax obligations.
We do NOT sell your personal data, and we do NOT show third-party advertising.
We share data only with the processors needed to run Athena: Supabase (authentication & database), Vercel (hosting & aggregate analytics), Razorpay (subscription payments), and OpenAI (powers Ask Athena — only the text you send is processed to generate a reply).
Some providers may process data on servers outside India under appropriate contractual safeguards. We otherwise disclose data only when required by law.
We keep your data while your account is active. On account closure or a verified deletion request we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except records we must retain for legal, tax or accounting reasons (e.g. payment records).
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to your records is restricted by row-level security and access controls so only you (and our authorised systems) can reach them. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
You can access or correct your details, clear your progress, withdraw consent, or request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing AthenaPrep.in@gmail.com. We respond within the timelines required by law.
Athena is intended for users aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please use Athena only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
We use a secure cookie only to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Pro and Elite are digital subscriptions that unlock the full platform the instant you pay. Because access — and the server, infrastructure and content costs behind it — is delivered to you immediately and in full, subscription fees are non-refundable.
Each plan is a one-time payment for a fixed duration (1, 3 or 6 months). There is no auto-renewal or recurring charge — nothing to cancel; your access simply ends when the period you paid for is over. If you were charged in error or hit a genuine billing problem, write to AthenaPrep.in@gmail.com and we will make it right.
We may update this policy as Athena grows; material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
For any question, request or complaint about your personal data, contact us at AthenaPrep.in@gmail.com — please write “Grievance” in the subject line. We acknowledge and resolve grievances within the timelines required under India's DPDP Act, 2023 and the applicable IT Rules.
Athena is founded and operated by Prachi Priya Jha. This policy is governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in the courts of India.
